Rodale has named Kristin Kiser v-p, deputy publisher, Trade Books and director of author programs. Kiser, most recently v-p and associate publisher at Hyperion, will report to Rodale Books v-p, publisher May Ann Naples and start July 1.
In her new role, Rodale said Kiser will develop Rodale’s publishing program, as well as new products and initiatives with current and perspective authors and brands. Reporting to Kiser will be the sales, marketing, art, rights, and digital departments.
“Kristin was a driving force behind the success of bestselling books and franchises from Suzanne Somers, Timothy Ferriss, Jamie Oliver, Chris Powell, Jillian Michaels, among others. As we look to take our business forward into innovative new directions, we will rely on Kristin’s depth of expertise and unique vision to guide us forward,” said Naples.
