Andrea Walker has resigned from her position as a senior editor at the Penguin Press. Earlier this week it was announced that Colin Dickerman was also leaving the Penguin imprint, to take on the role of editorial director at Bob Miller's new Macmillan imprint, Flatiron Books. A spokesperson for Penguin Press said Walker has not taken another position and that the imprint does have plans to replace both staffers.

Walker worked in the books department at the New Yorker and then at Reagan Arthur Books before joining Penguin Press a little over a year ago. Among the titles Walker acquired at Reagan Arthur were the critically acclaimed debut novel from Eowyn Ivey, The Snow Child (Feb. 2012), which was named, among other nods, a Discover Award finalist. At Penguin Press, books Walker acquired include Pushcart Prize winner Celeste Ng's Everything I Never Told You, and the buzzed-about debut by Pushcart winner Elliott Holt, You Are One of Them.
