Journalist Carl Bernstein has signed with Knopf for a forthcoming bio on the former First Lady, current New York senator and presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton. A Woman in Charge, scheduled for a June 19 national laydown, will cover Clinton's life up to the point at which she decided to run for the White House, and according to Knopf chairman and editor-in-chief Sonny Mehta, will "show us, for the first time, the true trajectory of [Clinton's] life and career." The deal was brokered by Mel Berger at William Morris, and the book will go to press for an initial 350,000 copies.
