Author Solutions Strikes Kindle Distribution Deal

The online self-publishing Author Solutions has struck a deal with Amazon to make its titles available on the Kindle. Through the deal all new AuthorHouse, iUniverse, Trafford, and Xlibris titles will be available on the device for $9.99. That default price, however, can be changed and authors can set a different price, if they choose.

In an open letter to the DoJ published on Digital Book World, agent Simon Lipskar says the government has "a fatally flawed understanding of the economics and history of the emerging e-book industry."
