Random House is the latest name to come up in the bidding war for Allrecipes.com, the food site put up for sale by Reader's Digest in October. According to the New York Post, Random House's involvement could mean that the final price will exceed $200 million. Other competing bidders include Meredith, Scripps Interactive, Amazon, and AOL.

The sale of the Allrecipes.com domain is part of RD's restructuring following bankruptcy in 2010. Recently, RDA cut 150 positions.

Allrecipes.com draws more than 16 million unique visitors per month.
