The Lambda Literary Foundation, a nonprofit organization for the LGBT literary community, has announced the renewal of a grant of $25,000 from Amazon for a third year in a row, a continuation of Amazon's support for the Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBT Voices. This year's retreat will be held July 28-August 4 in Los Angeles.
LLF's Writers Retreat is the only residency established specifically for promising LGBT writers taught by LGBT writers. This year's faculty includes Dorothy Allison, Alex Sanchez, Cris Beam, and Jewelle Gomez. Applications and scholarship requests for the Writers Retreat are open through April 16, 2012.
