On December 11, Little, Brown will reissue the 15 fiction works of Evelyn Waugh, one of the greatest writers of the 20th century. The new editions will feature new covers for both paperback and hardcover formats and will tie in with the e-book editions of Waugh’s titles, available for the first time, for $9.99 for all digital formats. Among the 15 are the three novels selected for the Modern Library 100 Best Novels list: A Handful of Dust, Scoop, and Brideshead Revisited.

Waugh’s books were last reissued by LB in 1999, but the Waugh estate had some problems with the look of the covers. While negotiating the e-book contracts, LB and the estate decided to revamp the whole line with a new look to give Waugh’s digital inauguration even more punch.

The paperback editions (selling for $15.99; hardcovers are $29.99) will include bound-in reading group guides. Hachette Audio will also release audiobook editions for the titles, many of which are voiced by Simon Prebble, the narrator of more than 450 audiobooks; Prebble was named “Narrator of the Year” in 2005 by PW.
