The Algonquin Hotel, known for its rich literary roots and famous former Round Table regulars (including Dorothy Parker and Robert Benchley) and Simon & Schuster announced a partnership that will bring hotel guests and New Yorkers an enhanced visit.

The two brands are celebrating the partnership by unveiling the Simon & Schuster Suite and a series of author events. A Simon & Schuster package will offer guests the chance to book a stay in the suite to enjoy its creature comforts from its well-stocked bookcase of classics and advanced copies of new releases as well as book memorabilia.

The complete perks:

-Located on the 7th floor, the Suite includes a living room and private bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed. Simon & Schuster memorabilia flanks the Suite.

-A bookcase housing a permanent collection of literary classics and modern bestsellers is included in the Suite, encouraging guests to browse and read some of their favorite titles.

-As part of the turndown service, guests will find on their first night of their stay an advanced copy of a soon-to-be-released book from one of Simon & Schuster’s many world famous imprints to call their own, to begin reading during the stay and then to take home with them.

-Guests of the Suite are able to enjoy a complimentary breakfast courtesy of the hotel’s Round Table Restaurant.

Author readings organized by S&S are also planned.
