John Wiley and Sons is adding to its already considerable business book stable. This week it announced its launch of a new imprint, Fisher Investments Press, which will drawn on the expertise of the independent money management firm Fisher Investments and its founder and CEO, Ken Fisher.

Fisher writes the “Portfolio Strategy” column in Forbes; he is currently ranked #271 on the Forbes 400 list of richest Americans. Wiley has published many of his previous investment books, including 2006’s bestselling The Only Three Questions That Count: Investing by Knowing What Others Don’t, which has 250,000 copies in print. Wiley v-p and executive publisher Joan O’Neil said, “The money management expertise of Fisher Investments paired with Ken Fisher’s track record in financial journalism makes for a powerful combination to launch a business imprint.”

The first Fisher Investments Press title, 10 Roads to Wealth by Ken Fisher, is slated for publication fall 2008 and focuses on various methods of wealth accumulation, from old-fashioned saving to inheritance and business enterprise. Subsequent titles include Globalize Your Portfolio for the 21st Century and Bear Hunting: How to Spot and Slay the Next Bear Market, both written by the Fisher Investments experts. O’Neil said the imprint will publish six to eight titles per year, with books launching in hardcover and following in paperback the following year.

O’Neil said Wiley plans to launch the program “in a very big way” and hopes to bring books out “at a bestseller level. These are books we think can sell very, very well in all markets,” she said.
