Agents Michelle Brower, Stephanie Delman, and Allison Hunter have launched Trellis Literary Management, a new literary agency. Brower was most recently a partner at Aevitas Creative Management; Delman spent ten years at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates; and Hunter spent more than five years at Janklow & Nesbit, and was previously an agent at both Stuart Krichevsky Literary Agency and Inkwell Management.

"A trellis is an interwoven structure that supports new growth, allowing it to bloom," the partners said in a joint statement, "After more than a decade as friends and confidantes, we’re thrilled to launch a company with that ethos: an agency that enables and nourishes the growth of both our clients and our colleagues.”

Allison Malecha, currently senior scout at Bettina Schrewe Literary Scouting, will join Trellis in December as director of foreign rights, and will also build a select list of domestic clients. Danya Kukafka, currently at Aevitas, and Mariah Stovall, currently at Howland Literary, will both join as agents in November. Natalie Edwards, currently at Janklow & Nesbit, will also join in November, both to support Brower and Hunter and to build her own list of clients.

The agents and partners will bring their full client lists—which include literary, upmarket, and commercial fiction, as well as narrative, memoir, pop culture nonfiction, and select YA—to the agency. Clients include Serena Burdick, Georgia Clark, Tara Conklin, Riley Sager, Zakiya Dalila Harris, Jason Mott, Anne Helen Petersen, Erika Swyler, and others.
