The U.S. Commerce Department is again offering publishers the opportunity to exhibit at the Taipei International Book Fair, which takes place February 9-14, 2011. The fair attracts thousands of publishers from Taiwan and Mainland China. The U.S. Commerce Department helps American publishers match their titles to foreign publishers and distributors interested in purchasing U.S. rights and titles in Taiwan. This year, it is only seeking publishers with content related to K-12 education, children’s books, and language learning. And for the first time, it is only accepting electronic and hard copy catalogs, not books. The Commerce Department will put all of the catalogs on a DVD, which it will distribute to potential publishing partners. Interested publishers should contact Dawn.Bruno@trade.gov.
