According to a report on the comics news website Comic Book Resources, John Nee, DC Comics senior v-p of business development, is leaving the company. However, David Hyde, DC Comics v-p of publicity, declined to confirm the report and said that DC Comics does not comment on personnel matters.

Most recently Nee has been responsible for overseeing DC’s investment in Japanese manga publisher Flex Comics, which produces original comics for the web and mobile phones as well as comics for print. Nee has also been charged with expanding DC’s presence in international publishing, videogames and new media initiatives as well as overseeing CMX, DC's manga unit. Nee joined DC Comics in 1998 as general manager of Wildstorm, where he had been president, after Wildstorm was purchased by DC Comics in 1998.
