The third book in the Pogue’s Basics series offers 150 tips for getting the most out of one’s personal finances, including how to save on car maintenance, how to cut down on cellphone and cable bills, and when the best time is to buy big-ticket items. Per BookScan, the book sold 2,000 print copies its first week on sale.

Bull Market Rich Dad Poor Dad, which pubbed in 2000, has sold 3.4 million print copies since Nielsen BookScan began keeping records in 2001.

In his new title, Kiyosaki aims to debunk traditional financial advice—he says that our notion of saving, for example, is obsolete given today’s poor interest rates—in favor of what he calls getting a “real financial education” about how to get ahead.
