|Verso Books (www.versobooks.com), the leading radical publishing house, is looking for a full-time marketing manager. They would be working across Verso’s list, with overall responsibility for Verso’s North American marketing and media profile, positioning Verso’s list with our US sales team (Random House), and developing and meeting sales targets for trade and academic markets, as well as direct sales.|
Responsibilities will include helping to negotiate sales targets in different markets, overseeing the development of marketing and sales materials, and driving marketing campaigns across social media, our own and affiliated websites, direct emails, academia, conferences, and events. He or she will be responsible for tracking and helping us to meet sales targets across all North American sales channels, including Verso’s new direct-to-customer online sales operation.
The job will require close co-operation with our editorial and publicity departments in New York and London, and the successful applicant will become a key part of a dynamic team. Marketing experience – in either book publishing or other media – and a demonstrable understanding of Verso’s list is essential.
