Barron’s Educational Series, Inc., a leading international book publisher is seeking an aggressive sales person for a position that will become available April 1, 2015. Position requires a minimum of 3-5 years book trade experience to call on trade and non-traditional markets. This is a well-established Chicago-based territory consisting of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, North/South Dakota, Nebraska and Wisconsin with many existing accounts. The position reports directly to the National Sales Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
•Extensive travel throughout the territory
•Maintain expert product knowledge for title list presentations
•Broaden the customer base to insure territory growth
•Coordinate coverage with telemarketing representatives
•Explore promotional opportunities
•Conform to the required reporting of the company
•Prepare for, attend and actively participate in all required sales meetings
•Attend trade shows to represent publisher

•Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in book publishing
•Excellent time management skills
•Energetic with strong presentation skills
•Ability to develop and maintain long lasting relationships with key decision makers
•Experience with accounts in the existing territory preferred
