Description	The Editor is responsible for all aspects of editing and approvals for children's books and magazines. Primary Responsibilities: Work with publishers and Publishing team to generate commercially viable concepts, formats, and ideas that will enhance the publishing program. Manage and maintain publishing schedules from creative concept through publication for assigned titles - track each stage of development from concept/outline through manuscript approvals to finished book. Work with publishers and Publishing team to identify appropriate writers and/or illustrators for each project. Provide creative and editorial input for all assigned titles. Responsible for editorial and creative aspects of kids' fan magazine - work with internal departments (e.g. Marketing, PR, Animation, LucasArts) and publisher to ensure content is focused, timely, and on-brand. Work with publishers to get consumer/retail feedback to assess strengths and potential weaknesses of fiction/comics publishing program. Job Requirements: BA in English, Journalism, or related field. 3-5 years of publishing experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Keen attention to detail. Solid knowledge and demonstrated interest in Lucasfilm brands. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Team player - must work well with internal and external partners.
