Alloy Media + Marketing is a leading media and marketing services company catering to the youth and multicultural audience. Our primary customers are major entertainment, consumer products and technology companies looking to advertise to the youth demographic. We are currently seeking an Educational Content Writer for our Channel One group based in New York City.

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Helping to create content that will allow teachers to bring real-world lessons into the classrooms
• Conceiving and writing interactive activities and lessons based on current events for Promethean ActivBoards
• Aligning all interactive content to national and/or state standards for math, science, social studies, language arts and geography

Requirements
• Three to five years U.S. secondary school curriculum development experience – knowledge of elementary school authoring experience a plus.
• A minimum of three years teaching and using technology in the classroom. Interactive whiteboard technology preferred.
• Strong creative ability developing lesson plans and activities around current events.
• Experience correlating curriculum materials to national and state standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• BA or higher in secondary education in a major core subject area: math, science, English, or social studies. An MA in Education preferred.
• High comfort level working in a very fast-paced, quickly evolving environment under fixed deadlines
• Experience with Photoshop and Powerpoint helpful.
• Video editing skills a plus, but not required
