Description | The Biology Products Team Lead position is extremely important as this role has ownership over the entire biology product, giving direction to the product and imparting their vision into the product to shape both the scope of the project and the types of questions and interactions possible within the questions. Candidates should be interested in improving the learning process of biology students. The Biology Products Team Lead will be responsible for: Developing the scope and project plan for Sapling’s biology products by completing a market analysis Hiring a team to create and review biology homework questions, adhering to a project plan developed by the Biology Team Lead Managing the biology question content bank, providing demonstrations of the biology product to interested instructors Creating online biology courses and homework assignments that meet the expectations of instructors using our software, and are aligned to the textbook that the instructor is using Working with software developers to design new interactions and improve existing answer modules in order to increase the effectiveness of the online homework problems. This position will serve as a proprietary software authority and subject matter expert to trouble-shoot issues that instructors and students may encounter within the Sapling Learning platform. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE - M.S. or Ph.D. in Biology - Experience teaching Biology and developing curriculum - Experience utilizing or creating storyboarding scientific animations or virtual labs - Strong project management skills - Experience creating curriculum that is used for online instruction - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong computer skills - Must have experience utilizing digital instruction - Experience revamping curriculum of a collegiate biology department, utilizing online learning is preferred |
