SUMMARY
Chegg is looking for an experienced, energetic Product Information Manager for catalogs covering physical and digital products. The ideal candidate for this position has interest in the e-commerce space, with specific deep expertise in catalog system development, catalog file integration, development of catalog key performance indicators (KPI’s), and communication of business requirements to engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set technical direction and roadmap for the catalogs area of Chegg's business.
• Develop detailed project requirement documents for all projects related to the catalog area.
• Work closely with the business unit to understand the business direction and how catalogs can be positioned to help achieve these goals.
• Develop and grow a relationship with engineering to ensure projects are developed on time and to a high standard.
• Make sure content discovery on Chegg’s website is efficient and scalable.
• Work on mission-critical projects in the general content management area.

REQUIREMENTS
• Experience as a Product Manager in the product (catalog) information space, a focus in e-commerce or publishing industry is a plus.
• Specific expertise in the catalog space, preferably owning, managing and developing catalogs for a major e-commerce or recommendation site.
• Experience driving sales through creating a recommendation engine and product linkages
• Thorough understanding of metadata and how it can be used to optimize search.
• Experience working with catalog vendors and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable working with all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical skills, with ability to measure and interpret performance at a quantitative level.
• Self-motivated, with proven ability to solve problems and deliver results.
• Book publishing experience a definite plus.
• Working knowledge of SQL is a plus.
• Understanding of ONIX standards for books and serials is a plus.
