An imprint of John Wiley and Sons in the Professional/Trade division, Jossey-Bass Business publishes thought leaders in business, management, strategy and innovation. As Marketing Manager for the Jossey-Bass Business trade list you will develop and implement marketing plans for individual titles; communicate with authors about marketing campaigns; evaluate new projects and recommend pricing and positioning; and contribute to plans for developing and marketing e-products. You will identify and utilize the most effective marketing tactics, and coordinate marketing efforts with both internal groups across the Wiley organization and external organizations. You will manage the trade marketing expense budget to maximize sales of books and products to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. You will be responsible for building awareness of the Jossey-Bass Business brand and be directly involved in developing and marketing the Jossey-Bass Business website and corresponding social media sites.


• Minimum of five years of marketing / promotion experience in publishing.
• BA or BS, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough knowledge of marketing concepts in publishing.
• Knowledge of promotion through various outlets, including direct, online and social media marketing.
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation and facilitation in face-to-face and online environments.
• Excellent analytical skills to perform quantitative and qualitative assessment of ROI, market research.
• Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies and manage marketing campaigns.
• Budget and financial management skills.
