The successful candidate should be motivated by a start-up culture and the challenge of building a new and exciting business while leveraging the possibilities of a new delivery platform. This role is based in Seattle and will require periodic travel.

Core Job responsibilities:

Plan and execute publicity campaigns for Thomas & Mercer’s titles in order to drive sales and awareness
Write press materials; pitch and secure top national and local media, including print, broadcast and online outlets
Create and manage media lists and build strong relationships with key media
Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and author relations teams in order to drive successful title launches

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree
4+ years of publicity or marketing experience in the thriller & mystery genre

Preferred Qualifications:

Superior communication and presentation skills
High judgment, particularly in narrow time frames
Experience creating and executing highly successful title-based media campaigns
Commitment and dedication to achieving team goals
Pay painstaking attention to important details
Ability to communicate effectively with bi-coastal teams and efficiently manage and problem solve any challenges that arise
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
