|The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting titles across Amazon Publishing’s New York City imprint, including literary and commercial fiction, non-fiction and business books. The Lead Publicist will work with the Head of Publicity to identify market potential of titles at the acquisition phase and drive sales and awareness of each book on our list. In addition to traditional title publicity, the successful candidate must have an eye for innovation: the Lead Publicist will ideate and drive strategies for books to thrive in the digital age, discovering new ways to connect with readers, including engagement through social media and the blogging community.|
The successful candidate should have demonstrated expertise in book publicity, leadership experience, as well as an entrepreneurial and goal-oriented approach. She/he should be motivated by a start-up culture and the challenge of building a new and exciting business while leveraging the possibilities of a new delivery platform. This role will report to Amazon Publishing’s Head of Publicity, who is based in New York City. This role is based in New York City and will require periodic travel.
