McGraw-Hill Professional is currently seeking a talented, market-savvy, highly motivated, creative, entrepreneurial, and enthusiastic Editor to join the Award-winning Business Editorial Team. The Editor will solicit, acquire, evaluate, and edit books/ebooks in the business topic area to be distributed through all channels throughout the world. This is a excellent opportunity to work for a prestigious program while helping to take it in new and exciting directions.

Responsibilities Include:

- Identifying and researching new trends; attending conferences and events to find new authors and ideas

- Running P&Ls and analyzing and interpreting sales data; negotiating contracts

- Collaborating with all in-house departments (publicity, marketing, sales, production, design, etc.) and championing all authors/projects/lists


Our requirements
Candidates should be creative thinkers, team players, innovative, committed, goal oriented, and have strong management skills, and an entrepreneurial approach to publishing. Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and computer skills are essential. The ability to collaborate, strategize, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently is required. We are looking for someone who has at least two years publishing acquisitions/editorial experience.
