Description | Schiffer Publishing Ltd. seeks a knowledgeable, creative, and career-oriented individual with a bachelor's degree, 5 years of professional experience, and broad interests for a full-time editorial position. Curiosity, attention to detail, and excellent writing, editorial, and communication skills are a must. Competency in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop are essential. Previous experience in the publishing or media industry is desired. Photography experience, as well as an interest in art, design, and niche topics is a plus. Editorial duties include editing text and images for books on a wide range of topics, shepherding books from submission through design, communicating with authors, solving problems creatively, acquiring new books and authors, copy writing and editing, and providing input on publicity and marketing.
