Description | MaryRuth Books (MRB) a pre-K to 4th grade publisher specializing in Reading Recovery® and literacy,is seeking a full-time sales and marketing manager for our small but growing educational publishing company. Primary responsibilities will include: •Selling to PreK-Elementary, literacy, library, trade and professional markets. •Expanding current sales •Establishing and setting up new channels of distribution to expand MRB sales •Overseeing the creation and implementation of promotional and marketing material and campaigns •Identifying and analyzing new areas of strategic expansion and new business potential •Planning for, and staffing, trade shows in appropriate channels •Writing seasonal marketing/catalog copy, creating customized marketing materials for the sales department, assisting with new title submissions, and working to maximize book sales in special markets. Requirements •BA/BS •Five plus years sales and marketing experience in the book industry, preferably in the pre-K and elementary or literacy areas •Consultative selling skill •Contacts within the primary target markets •Team player •Computer literacy and social networking skills Compensation: •Commensurate with experience |
