The Rodale communications department is seeking a Publicist to work on the company's list of premiere and bestselling nonfiction titles in the health, diet, wellness, environmental, and lifestyle categories. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, detail-oriented self-starter who can juggle multiple projects at a time.

Responsibilities include:
- Create and execute publicity campaigns for non-fiction health related titles including the creation of press materials, pitching and securing top national and local media including print, broadcast and online, and overall campaign management
- Develop and coordinate scheduling of multi-city book tours and appearances for select lead titles, which includes the arrangement of travel, venue selection, creation of promotional material, securing regional press and organizing book sales for off-site venues
- Maintaining consistent and supportive contact with authors
- Regular communication to internal team and to sales, editorial and marketing
- Maintain and update the media database and contacts

- 2-3 years of experience in public/media relations field
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations, Liberal Arts strongly preferred
- Knowledge of social media trends and the book industry
