The Data Manager will implement strategies and supervise project-level tactics designed to improve the quality, quantity, and flexibility of data across multiple data systems in the organization. This individual will manage the day-to-day data flow of title information into and out of content and data repositories that is delivered to internal and external clients. The Data Manager will supervise tactical data cleanup and system integration projects implemented to improve operational efficiencies that produce revenue growth for the B&H division. This person will be responsible for managing the interaction of data systems across both the functional areas of B&H and with LifeWay TD personnel. The Data Manager will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining knowledge of industry standards for electronic data exchange and best practices as related to online retail merchandising.

The ideal individual selected for the Data Manager position will need a unique knowledge and understanding of technology, be marketing savvy, detailed, and passionate about the English language

WE NEED:
Bachelor’s degree is required, with major in business, communications, marketing, English, Library Science, or related fields
5+ years experience in data management, data merchandising, etc.
Experience in trade publishing is a strong preference
Polished communication (written/verbal) skills, including grammar, punctuation, and/or editorial skills at the college level
Extremely high attention to detail, focused service-orientation as it relates to both internal and external customers
Knowledge of database technology and systems, computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to coordinate complex tasks through organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of EDI , BISG, Epub, and ONIX data standards preferred
Working knowledge of MDM data management systems, XML, HTML, and other markup languages strongly recommended
Knowledge of Access, Filemaker, SQL or other database languages and systems a plus
Must be an active member and participant in an evangelical church
