The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation's leading advocacy organization for children's health, is in search of an experienced individual to develop and manage strategies to leverage AAP professional and consumer content in electronic formats to meet financial goals. Reporting to the Director, Division of Marketing and Sales, this individual will develop, implement, and evaluate strategic initiatives for licensing and use of AAP content in electronic formats. This position is responsible for identifying, building, and managing relationships with strategic partners including content aggregators, Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records, subscription agents, academic consortia, and government and corporate entities. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field, Masters preferred and a minimum of five years experience in marketing management (preferably of scholarly, scientific, or medical content) including electronic formats in the publishing or association field. At least three years experience managing licensing agreements is required. Essential skills include: cultivating and maintaining solid business relationships, developing proposals for complex business models, and managing contract negotiations.
