Description | Kepler’s Arts & Lectures is looking to expand its Events Team by hiring an Events Director. This is a leadership position that offers an opportunity to make a major positive impact on the cultural life of Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area overall. The position will require hands-on engagement. It is ideal for an experienced literary events producer who has significant relationships and experience and is ready to move to the next stage of his or her career. The full-time position carries competitive salary and benefits. Relocation benefits maybe offered if needed. Kepler’s Arts & Lectures is committed to hosting noteworthy writers and thinkers so people can interact with these leading minds in a face-to-face setting. Kepler’s Arts & Lectures was started in Fall 2012 as part of a reorganization of Kepler’s Books, the legendary literary institution and bookstore based in Menlo Park, CA. Kepler's already had an award-winning events program, having hosted over 200 literary and cultural events annually. Recent notable speakers have included Sonia Sotomayor, Salman Rushdie, TC Boyle, Michael Chabon, John Green, Louise Penny, Tony LaRussa, Rick Riordan, Lemony Snicket and Lauren Oliver. With Kepler’s Arts & Lectures we now are expanding this program in a major way to address cultural and educational needs in the region. |
