Baker Publishing Group is accepting applications for the position of Marketing Manager, Baker Academic & Brazos Press. This position is responsible for all aspects of marketing for this division’s titles, including promotion, publicity, titling, positioning, author/agent relations, and the promotion of these division’s titles at key academic conferences. The person in this position will also be a key participant in the division’s publication committee and strategic planning process, and act as manager for all academic publicity and marketing staff. Travel (approx.. 10 times per year) is required.


• Minimum of five years of publishing experience or its equivalent
• Conversant in issues of theology, biblical studies, and related subject matters addressed in this division’s publications.
• Nuanced understanding of publishing industry, the broad world of Christian higher education, and pertinent media outlets
• Experience as an effective supervisor
• Keen attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
