This job exists to support and facilitate projects for the publicity department.
The person in this position must manage promotional efforts utilizing social media and other platforms and plan/execute 2 frontlist titles per season.
*Manage the social media effort for Timber Publicity, including the Facebook,Twitter, and Pinterest accounts; work with Marketing Coordinator to ensure consistent message across platforms
*Execute and analyze web-based consumer promotions in conjunction with the Marketing team
*Update Timber’s web site with content – bios, awards, reviews, etc...
*Plan and execute the publicity for two titles per season under the mentorship of the Publicity Manager
*Assist publicists with event pitches, details, and communication to sales department
*Assist publicists with media mailings and other administrative duties as needed
*Process review requests
*Must be energetic, motivated, and able to work well as part of a team
*Ability to communicate deadlines and schedules to others in a professional manner
*Excellent interpersonal skills
*Ability to prioritize projects and work flow, allow flexibility in scheduling to meet immediate deadlines and requests
*Must pay attention to detail regarding content, spelling, grammar, current specifications, and pricing
*Must have a strong grasp of Internet concepts and proficiency with Web browsers, E-mail, and FTP
*Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Internet applications
*Must be able to lift 25 pounds
*Vision and hearing must be acute enough for phone work and computer operations
