|The Editorial Assistant will provide a high level of administrative and editorial support to the press director, associate director, and managing editor in a dynamic book publishing office. He or she will also coordinate digital content for the press, including ebook editorial duties, database management, and website content management, and will assist with the development of other digital initiatives.|
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and 1 to 2 years of related experience. Strong organization, time management, and analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication and proofreading skills. Must be resourceful, with a “can-do” attitude, and must be able to deliver efficient solutions and actions, often within shifting priorities and time frames. Must have proficiency in Word, Gmail, and Excel, as well as experience with database systems. Assist with books sales and press events, regularly involving evening and weekend work. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Experience in book publishing preferred.
