As an agency of The United Methodist Church, GBOD helps local church, district, and conference leaders fulfill the shared dream of making world-changing disciples.
The agency connects leaders with needed resourcing, training, consulting, and networking that support spiritual formation, new church development, revitalization of local churches, and materials for use in Central Conferences. GBOD has embarked upon an integrated, strategic direction that serves the church with continuity, based upon basic values and mission.
The Marketing Manager Position works with the Associate Director for Print and Multimedia Magazine Content to create, implement and monitor measurable marketing strategies. The Marketing Manager will plan, test, implement and manage campaigns; be accountable for producing and maintaining quality marketing materials in keeping with our brand including, but not limited to, direct mail, email blasts, inserts, page advertisements and web ads. In addition, the Marketing Manager will work with the Associate Director to forecast expected results and measure actual against forecast.
The successful candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge of marketing, structure, and functions; knowledge of customer segment(s); experience in market research and sales analysis; strong interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of vendors; knowledge of e-commerce; experience in selling; demonstrated written and oral communication skills; demonstrated cultural sensitivity; ability to use discretion, judgment and initiative; demonstrated organizational skills; analytical skills; independent decision-maker and creator; willingness to work with a team; preferred knowledge of the United Methodist Church; and demonstrated experience on personal computer and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency
Specialized Knowledge - Marketing Experience
