Egmont USA, a children’s book publisher based in Manhattan, is currently seeking an Assistant Marketing Director, who will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Director

Overall Marketing Responsibilities include:

• Work in conjunction with publisher and sales and marketing director to create marketing
plans for growing children’s list

• Develop and manage seasonal advertising and promotional budgets for frontlist and backlist titles

• Liaise with our outside distribution partner in preparation for seasonal sales conferences, create title information sheets, upload jackets and maintain all title updates

• Facilitate all aspects of annual conference attendance

• Plan all consumer and school and library advertising for print and online venues

• Partner with outside publicity specialists

• Foster relationships with children’s review media and coordinate seasonal checklist mailings

• Oversee the submission process for national, state, and other relevant awards

• Responsible for author care and tour bookings at stores and festivals

• Maintain social media platforms

• Attend acquisitions meetings

Experience Needed:
• College degree
• 7 years of prior publishing experience preferred, ideally in children’s marketing
• Creative self starter
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and detail minded with strong follow up skills
• Experience in social media marketing
