Responsible for managing all aspects of product data by parsing and loading publisher Excel and Onix XML files, and eBook file ingestion for digital textbooks. An ideal role for a savvy Manager who can understand the technical / functional aspects of the position and effectively communicate between IT professionals, merchandisers, and data entry gurus. This role requires experience creating and tracking JIRA tickets so the programmers can have direction in creating new functionality for our systems, or experience with a similar tracking and messaging tool.

You will be the point of contact for new eTextbooks being loaded into the system which colleges, and students, across the country will be counting on purchasing and learning from, so it will be crucial you know how to work under tight deadlines, can be efficient and have high standards for follow-through and a focus on completion.


Receive, produce and deliver digital content for ebook store, POD store and in-store content programs on schedule. This includes overseeing all metadata ingestion.
Effectively communicate with publishers and vendors regarding metadata, Onix tags, and file completion.
Troubleshoot issues independently.
Consistently monitor the ingestion process of ebook files.
Consistently monitor the flow of data through downstream systems.
Resolves conflicts in a positive way with professionalism and a goal of collaboration.
Become familiar with new software quickly, including in-house software unique to the company.


8+ years industry experience including 4+ years experience managing digital content publishing projects strongly preferred.
Extensive experience managing digital conversion production programs including experience working with (or for) book or magazine publishers, or digital data conversion vendors required.
Proven track record of successful project management strongly preferred.
Ability to work on tight deadlines and to problem solve strongly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of ebook and digital content tagging standards required.
BA/BS strongly preferred.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision strongly preferred.
