|Project Assistant/Digital Content Implementation|
This position contributes to the success of The Upper Room’s strategic initiatives by:
•Creating, maintaining, and advocating for project schedules and development task logs to ensure that projects proceed on time and within proper scope. Serving as the liaison to persons performing this role for outside vendors.
•Supporting content distribution through digital means (apps, digital editions, ezines, and feeds). In some cases the employee will prepare the digital content herself or himself, and in other cases she/he will arrange for and coordinate this work through outside vendors.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of project management methods; familiarity with Agile approach to project development; general knowledge of XML first publishing processes and requirements for distribution on various platforms including apps, ezines, digital editions, RSS feeds and web; aptitude for learning new software tools efficiently and effectively and ability to work in a cross-functional collaborative team.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency / Two to four years on the job experience or extensive supervised internship experience directly related to job requirements.
Familiarity with any or all of the following is a plus: spiritual formation, virtual communities, crowd-sourced content, digital publishing, and cause-based community development.
