Description
The Harvard Business Review Press Production Editor manages the production of Press and other products and participates in the development of new processes to improve efficiency and support our evolving business needs. In addition, the Production Editor works with Press and HBR Group colleagues to manage projects, update key information, maintain publication schedules, and work collaboratively to solve problems effectively. The Production Editor coordinates and communicates with Press colleagues, authors, freelancers, and vendors in order to deliver quality content in multiple formats.

• Oversee the production of physical books, ebooks, and article collections, including:
o Manage schedules and processes
o Communicate effectively and provide appropriate author management
o Ensure high-quality proofreading, copyediting, and indexing on all projects by hiring and managing vendors and freelancers
o Work collaboratively with outside or in-house resources to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of end products
o Manage the set-up, scheduling, production, and maintenance of derivative products as needed

Requirements:
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of editorial production experience
• Proven attention to detail
• Ability to balance multiple projects and tasks simultaneously under deadline pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Word and Acrobat
• Understanding of/experience with ePub, HTML/XML/CSS a plus
