Digital / Features Editor
Publishers Weekly
Date Posted
Publishers Weekly is looking for a features editor who has digital news experience, a working knowledge of the publishing industry, and is as comfortable reading spreadsheets as novels.

Responsibilities for this full-time position include conceptualizing, assigning, and editing feature packages; maintaining PW’s bestseller lists and assigning/writing bestseller-related editorial; light programming of publishersweekly.com; and handling routine social media. This position will work heavily on both print and digital.

The ideal candidate will have three to five years of editorial experience (digital highly preferable), a contact list full of freelance writers, and a track record of innovation. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a big plus, as is familiarity with K4 and InCopy.

Publishers Weekly is the international news platform of book publishing and bookselling. In addition to its weekly print magazine, which was founded in 1872, PW has a robust website, multiple electronic newsletters and digital products, and a very strong social media reach. Each year, PW reviews over 8,000 books, as well as featuring author interviews and news and analysis about the world of publishing.
