Description
Open Road Media is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager to work in genre fiction. This position will help manage Open Road Integrated Media’s marketing and promotion efforts. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing online and offline marketing campaigns, publicity outreach, creating marketing content for distribution, coordinating promotions with the retail management team, and working directly with authors.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following categories:

* Develop and implement marketing plans and projects
* Monitor, review, report and adjust marketing activity and results
* Plan publicity outreach to coordinate with marketing campaigns
* Work directly with authors, estates, partners, vendors, and freelancers to obtain and deliver marketing and publicity content as needed
* Working with the interactive producer and marketing team on department initiatives, including video.
* Create ads for online and print. Write copy, work with design team and negotiate advertising placements
* Participate on ORIM social networking, create and maintain social media sites for participating authors and optimize other channels for additional impact.

Qualifications:

* Requires a bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in related field a plus;
* 3-5 years experience in a marketing, advertising or promotion role
* Must have experience using Photoshop and coding basic html
* Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing campaigns
* Experience with publicity and public relations planning and execution
* Experience with retargeting and customer segmentation a plus
* Must have first hand knowledge of SEO and SEM campaigns

The successful candidate must have the following skills:

* Project planning is critical; individual must have the capability to document, communicate and integrate results into specific action plans and manage project plans for implementing marketing campaigns
* Strong writing background
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required; must be able to present results and actions plans with professionalism, authority and credibility to all levels within the Company
* Initiative and desire to work successfully in a fast-paced, small team environment, self-directing day-to-day activities and prioritization; strong attention to detail, with an ability to follow-up on items to ensure tight timelines and releases are met;
* An interest in genre fiction is a plus
