Princeton University Press seeks a highly-motivated and creative Senior Publicist with a specialization in humanities publishing to join its publicity team. Princeton publishes approximately 200 new trade and scholarly titles per year in a wide range of disciplines. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of publicity experience, possess excellent writing and organizational skills, be familiar with key print, electronic, and broadcast media, and have a successful track record in publicizing serious nonfiction. Responsibilities include: pitching to the media to secure coverage (print, radio, internet, TV and social media), writing press releases, targeting galley and review copy mailings, coordinating author tours and events, and communicating with authors. Strong media contacts in the humanities necessary. Competitive salary/excellent benefits.
