This sales leader will be responsible for selling ICG print and digital services to existing and prospective traditional and non-traditional book publishing accounts. This individual will develop selling and service relationships throughout all levels of the Publisher’s organization. This role will develop and forecast sales targets and appropriately manage expenses within the territory. This individual will seek out conference speaking opportunities, web based presentations and other networking and selling activities. We are seeking an individual who can create long term relationships, create meaningful deals with assigned accounts and effectively work with internal and external stakeholders to meet sales and growth targets – especially for new account business that may or may not be associated with the publishing industry.|
•Develops and grows the pipeline of potential ICG accounts: identifying new opportunities while growing sales to assigned accounts.
•Gains a full understanding of each publisher’s / content organization’s business and its relationship with Ingram.
•Understands solution requirements of potential publishing and recommends relevant suite of applicable Ingram products and services, including both physical and digital offerings.
•Works with ICG Product, IT, Marketing and Finance teams where appropriate to develop publisher solutions that will drive revenue and profit.
•Initiates discussions with publishers and actively communicates existing and new offerings.
•Coordinates strategic discussion with ICG managers and team leaders regarding publisher needs.
•Works with management and team leaders to develop and deliver solution-based proposals that address the needs of the publisher or content organization.
•Works with management and team leaders to prepare and deliver complex presentations, proposal, quotes and contracts.
•Works with management to provide thorough reporting on the state of territory to include current results against projections, opportunities with current and prospective clients, territory challenges and suggested resolutions on a continuous basis and through monthly business development meetings.
•Aggressively seeks new accounts.
•Works with management to develop selling strategy for the assigned territory/segment. Provides competitive updates along with new product and service recommendations required for Ingram Content Group to effectively compete in the market.
•Thoroughly research client issues/challenges to ensure accurate diagnosis of the problem, work with internal team to develop options for resolution, provide recommendation for resolution that meets client’s objectives and ensures timely implementation of resolution.
•Meet or exceed sales goals.
Minimum Education and Experience required:
•5 years experience in publishing industry
•5 years of sales experience
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
•Proficient utilization of MS Office suite
•Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
