In the wake of professors who use Web sites to proclaim the Holocaust a hoax, or students who post racial or sexual slurs in university forums, universities are faced with new varieties of free speech concerns. Robert M. O'Neil, director of the Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Speech and a former university president, has written Free Speech in the College Community (Mar., $24.95) focusing on these issues. His publisher, Indiana University Press, has established a Web site for the book that features a discussion forum and includes a book-order form.
