Regnery Not Part of Phillips Sale

Phillips Publishing International, a $300-million privately held publisher of newsletters, magazines and directories, as well as the parent company of Regnery Publishing, has hired Goldman Sachs to find a buyer for the firm. Company founder and chairman Tom Phillips said, however, that he intends to retain control of Eagle Publishing, which, in addition to Regnery includes three book clubs plus Human Events newspaper and the Evans-Novak Political Report newsletter.
