Thrillers are always a popular category on the fiction charts, and two new ones are adding to the category's excitement -- and enjoying strong sales along the way. Little, Brown's Day of Confession by Alan Folsom had a one-day laydown on September 9 with a 350,000 first printing. Pre-pub buzz was generated by a huge advance-copy mailing to bookstores across the country, and post-pub excitement will be fueled by three weeks of TV advertising on Today, Good Morning America and late-night news shows in New York, L.A., D.C., Boston and Chicago.
