Noodle Kidoodle reported that sales for the fiscal year ended January 30, 1999, rose 32%, to $107.9 million. The addition of new stores plus a 16% increase in comparable store sales helped drive the revenue gain. The company also benefited from a strong fourth quarter in which revenues rose 32%, to $48.7 million.

The company's strong performance in fiscal '99 has prompted Noodle Kidoodle to increase the number of stores it plans to open in the year, from its original target of 10 to between 12 and 15. By the end of the year, Noodle Kidoodle expects to be operating 54 to 57 stores in 11 states.
