Harcourt Brace senior editor Drenka Willen has won the 1998 PEN/Roger Klein Editorial Award, given to a trade book editor every two years for "distinguished editorial achievement."

Willen began her career at Harcourt in 1962, translating and editing the work of Yugoslav writer Milovan Djilas. Willen has edited three of the Nobel Laureates in the 1990s: Octavio Paz, Wislawa Syzmborska and Jose Saramago. The award will be presented at a PEN reception in New York on Tuesday, April 27.
