The Curve of the World, a first novel by Marcus Stevens, has simultaneously secured a publisher and a movie option deal. This story of an American ad exec kidnapped after a plane crash in the Congo and the efforts of his wife and blind son to locate him was bought for world rights by editor Antonia Fusco at Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, in a sale orchestrated by Dallas agent David Hale Smith of DHS Literary. In cooperation with Sylvie Rabineau of the Rabineau agency, a movie option was also sold to Working Title, with producers Harvey Kahn and Jonas Goodman set to executive produce the movie for their Front Street Productions and Adam Brooks set to write a script.
