Sarah Polster, Jossey-Bass's Religion in Practice publishing director and the founder of the house's religion program, died July 4 after a nine-month battle with brain cancer. She was 48. Polster was at Jossey-Bass for 12 years, beginning her career there as editor of leadership and management authors. In 1995 she created the plan for JB's religion line, and the first titles were published in 1996. Sarah is survived by her husband, Mike, and four-year-old daughter, Anna.
