David Baldacci kicked off his tour for Last Man Standing with the first-ever book signing aboard an Amtrak train, going from D.C. to New York on November 7 and doing the return trip on November 9; the books were provided by D.C.'s Olsson's Book & Records, and a portion of the signing proceeds was donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Baldacci also wrote a personal essay for Arrive, the Amtrak magazine for the Northeast, and donated his writing fee to the same fund. The author is in the middle of his tour, with stops scheduled to the end of the month. Warner reports more than 600,000 copies in print.
