Another book with a strong conservative point of view is climbing the bestseller charts: Patrick J. Buchanan's The Death of the West: How Dying Populations and Immigrant Invasions Imperil Our Country and Civilization. The St. Martin's/Thomas Dunne title began with a 50,000 printing and with-in two weeks went back to press three times, making 115,000 copies in print. Buchanan's 11-city tour crossed the country. According to the publisher, though the author did four days in New York, he's coming back January 29 for more. Publicity manager Joe Rinaldi said he could book Buchanan nonstop for two or three days and still need more time. He is scheduled through February, and March bookings are being lined up. Though he wasn't the victor in the presidential race, he's clearly a front-runner in the book marketplace.
